Everything you need to know before booking your first lesson with us
What instruments can I learn at Avec La Lune Music Academy?
We offer private instruction in piano, guitar, and oud. Each program is taught by instructors experienced in both Western and Arabic music traditions, so students in Aswan can pursue classical, contemporary, or traditional styles depending on their interests.
Do I need previous musical experience to start?
No prior experience is required. Our lessons are structured for complete beginners as well as students who already play and want to refine technique, learn new repertoire, or switch instruments.
What age groups do you teach?
We welcome students of most ages, from young children learning their first instrument to teenagers and adults. Lesson pacing and materials are adjusted based on the student's age and learning goals.
How long is each lesson and how often should I attend?
Most private lessons run 45 to 60 minutes, and we typically recommend one to two sessions per week for steady progress. Your instructor will suggest a schedule based on your goals during the first consultation.
Do you provide instruments for lessons, or should I bring my own?
Our studio in Aswan has pianos, guitars, and ouds available for use during lessons. If you own an instrument, you're welcome to bring it, and we can also offer guidance if you're considering a purchase.
Can I choose between individual and group lessons?
Yes, we offer both formats. Private one-on-one instruction allows for a personalized pace, while small group classes are available for students who prefer learning alongside others.
How do I know which instructor is right for me?
During your first visit, we discuss your musical background, goals, and schedule to match you with an instructor whose teaching style and specialty fit your needs. You can also request a change if the fit isn't right.
Is it possible to reschedule a lesson if I can't make it?
We understand schedules change. Contact us in advance and we'll do our best to arrange an alternative time slot, depending on studio and instructor availability that week.
